Wall mural vs. wallpaper: what's the difference?
A wallpaper pattern repeats across the wall at a fixed tile size. A wall mural is a single non-repeating image that fills the entire wall surface. Applied Coverings produces both — the distinction is in how the design is structured. If you're looking for an all-over texture or geometric pattern, that's wallpaper. If you want a forest, a skyline, an abstract painting, or a custom photo to fill the entire wall as one image, that's a mural. Uploading your own photo as a wall mural
Applied Coverings' custom upload tool accepts high-resolution JPEG, PNG, and TIFF files. For a standard 9 × 8 ft wall, we recommend a source image of at least 3,000 × 2,700 pixels at 150 DPI — enough resolution to print sharp at viewing distance.
