Hospitality Wallpaper for Hotels, Restaurants & Bars
Hospitality-grade design
Hospitality interiors live by two competing demands: they have to feel one-of-a-kind, and they have to survive everything a public space throws at them. Custom wallpaper is one of the few finishes that can deliver both at once — distinctive enough to anchor a brand identity, durable enough to hold up to daily cleaning, fire-rated to satisfy the AHJ. Applied Coverings prints custom hospitality wallpaper for hotels, resorts, restaurants, and bars, manufactured at our San Jose facility on Type II commercial substrates with Class A fire ratings and the spec documentation that hospitality projects require.
The trade program for hospitality designers is free and includes free samples, a dedicated rep, full spec sheets, and priority production scheduling for refresh windows.
Hotels and resorts
From back-of-house corridors to flagship guest suites, hospitality buildings use wallpaper across every functional zone. The materials we recommend by zone:
- Lobbies and lounges — Suede Type II ($6/sqft) for the soft hand and presence under hospitality lighting. Custom branded patterns or scaled artwork.
- Guest corridors — Terralon Smooth Type II ($6.50/sqft) for high-traffic durability and LEED contribution where applicable.
- Guest suites — Pre-Pasted ($5/sqft) for accent walls, or Peel & Stick Linen ($7.50/sqft) for the upscale fabric look without the install complexity.
- Spa and wellness — biophilic patterns on Suede Type II or Terralon, with calming palettes color-matched to the brand standards.
Restaurants and bars
Restaurant and bar interiors demand wallpaper that scrubs clean — kitchen aerosols, hand contact, occasional spills. Suede Type II is the standard call: scrubbable per ASTM F793, Class A fire-rated, with a soft brushed face that anchors the design without competing with the food and lighting. For booth backers and feature walls, a custom pattern in the brand palette, often re-colored from our main pattern library. For branded chains rolling out across multiple locations, see our retail wallpaper page for rollout logistics.
Boutique and lifestyle hospitality
Boutique hotels, lifestyle brands, and short-term rental operators use wallpaper as a signature design element — the photograph that ends up on the booking page, the wall guests share on Instagram. Custom artwork uploads through our custom wallpaper tool let designers commission original artwork for a property, or scale photography for floor-to-ceiling installations. For boutique properties pursuing recognizable design identity, a single signature wall in every guest room creates the through-line.

Branded hospitality chains and lifestyle groups working across multiple properties get coordinated production:
- Pattern files and color profiles held on your account for repeat orders
- Color matching against brand standards (Pantone, brand swatch, or physical reference)
- Phased delivery against the property build-out or refresh schedule
- Pre-positioned material inventory for scheduled draws across multiple properties
- Single point of contact through your dedicated trade rep for the entire account
Refresh cycles and operating-window logistics
Hospitality projects almost always run on compressed install windows — between booking seasons, during scheduled property closures, or on a room-by-room rotation that has to keep occupancy above breakeven. A few logistics notes that come up consistently:
- Off-season windows. Most hotel refreshes happen in low-occupancy windows. We schedule production to land panels at the property the day before install starts, not weeks in advance taking up storage space.
- Phased install. For property-wide refreshes, panels ship by floor or room block to match the rotation schedule. Pre-positioned inventory is held at our facility and drawn down on the property's calendar.
- Repeat orders. Once a property's signature pattern is on file, re-orders for damaged sections or new wings ship from the same press setup — exact color match, no proof cycle required.
